Nevelson was born from a lifelong love of making things by hand.

Years later, crochet became something even more meaningful: a creative practice that helped me move through stress, anxiety, and intensity, while giving shape to the ideas constantly living in my mind.
I experimented with everything — mittens, swimwear, sweaters, hats, knitting, crochet, different yarns, different techniques. But nothing felt fully right. I wanted to create something more universal, more expressive, and more emotionally powerful. Something people would love not only because it was crafted by hand, but because it was beautiful, unexpected, and impossible to overlook.
That is how bags became the center of Nevelson.
The turning point
The turning point came when I discovered an unusual eyelash yarn and started experimenting with bold textures and sculptural forms. What followed was a long process of trial, frustration, research, and persistence. I tested countless materials, studied different types of yarn, searched for the right structure, and spent time understanding exactly what would create the quality and shape I had in mind.
I wasn't looking for just any result — I was looking for the one that matched the vision in my head.
Eventually, I found the material that made everything click. And from that moment, Nevelson truly began.
